Boomslang is a multi-genre celebration of experimental sound and art taking place at various venues across Lexington, Kentucky over the span of a weekend. Presented by WRFL 88.1, Lexington’s independent college and community radio station, in conjunction with our sponsors and friends, the festival was born in 2009 with the intention of creating a weekend-long celebration reflective of WRFL’s mission to bring forward-thinking and innovative independent music to Lexington. Boomslang also seeks to celebrate and showcase the local talent, innovation and creative vision of our own community and state.
